Plant Hire
How Plant and Container Hire work
Plant hire is an affordable way to access a wide range of plants and containers, with no upfront investment or plant care skills needed by staff.
Providing a plantscape proposal is FREE. Also trialling and seeing options is FREE.
There is no obligation to proceed until you have signed and accepted the plant hire agreement. And even then, there is usually only a one month’s commitment (although most of our clients stay on a lot longer, many 20 years plus).
- Step 1: Gather information
- First, we need to understand what your needs are. It is easiest for us to come and see you and your space. This gives us the opportunity to find out the purpose, look and feel you are after. We can also work out the size of the space, the temperature and light conditions which determine the type of plants we will suggest.
- Sometimes, for example when offices are under construction or you are moving into a new office, it is not possible to see the space. We can still gather information from you over the phone or in person and use designer briefs and floor plans.
- Step 2: Plant and container solution and quote
- Next you will be sent your plantscape proposal. This has pricing, plant and container suggestions with photos and the term of hire (usually monthly roll over unless large or specialised). The plants/containers are quoted as a unit price (monthly), so quantities are easy to vary to suit budget goals.
- At this point, we see if you would like anything changed and ask if you want us to bring in any of the plants and containers we have suggested.
- Quantities may need to be amended and other options can be added. Once you have decided what you like, then a revised proposal will be then sent through to you.
- Step 3: Plant Hire Agreement
- Once you are happy with the plants and containers proposed, we will summarise the quantities and price in a plant hire agreement. This also has your company details and where the plants will be located. It will be sent to you. If you would like to proceed, then just sign and scan it back to us and we will put together the plants and containers for your order.
- Step 4: Installation
- To make sure we get it right, one of our installs team will come in and see the space (or be shown photos of where the plants are to be placed if this does not suit you).
- We have a wide selection of plants and containers in stock so can even do next day installs. If we need to order in containers and plants, then allow up to two weeks before installation.
- Step 5: Maintenance
- Just Plants customers can be assured of the highest quality care for their plants.
- Just Plants is dedicated to continual improvement to meet its own standards for service and maintenance. All plant technicians are required to comply with this standard, ensuring the very best care of your plant scape. Occupational Health & Safety standards for both Just Plants and clients are adhered to. An audit process and ongoing training makes sure the quality of your plant scape is maintained.
- 'Plantcare International' was designed by Just Plants as its own Code of Practice for its servicing and maintenance of indoor plants in New Zealand.
- Regular proactive maintenance includes:
- Dust, clean and polish and prune plants, and buff and dust containers
- Carefully hydrate the plants to the correct level using probes and water meters
- Replace and remove any plants that are not up to Plantcare International standards
- Check and replace any staging materials around plants
- Remove all rubbish and spent foliage
- Check and treat for disease and foreign bodies
- Rotate containers for even growth of the plant
- Fertilise plants where needed
